About Joy Mart

Located at 1347 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620, Joy Mart operates as an asian grocery store serving Rochester in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as grocery store, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Rochester with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New York may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 AM–9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Joy Mart at (585) 659-1688; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is joymartroc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 95 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rochester follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I ordered two drinks, but the staff member seemed like she either didn’t know how to make them or was just really slow. I noticed one cup felt noticeably lighter than the other, and when I pointed it out, she checked and it turned out to be only about 60% full. She topped it off, but that’s when I realized the other cup wasn’t full either β€” it was only about 80% full. I was pretty speechless about it, and on top of that, I waited a really long time for my drinks. The drinks is good, but with such a bad service experience, If you’re planning to order here, just keep an eye on your drinks.

We really enjoy coming here and it's often a nice experience, but today was really weird and off putting. Whoever was working the register today was so rude and dismissive it was bizarre. We tried to order some yakitori and she looked at me like I was stupid and said they don't make yakitori??? I was like girl idk what to tell you I order it here all the time. Then she found it on the menu and ended up putting it in wrong and I did not get the yakitori. It was really weird and uncomfortable! Our last customer experience was really lovely, one of the employee even going out of his way to call me and let me know I left some of my order behind, so it was a total 180 change from our usual experience.

Waited 40 min for a drink and was met with an attitude when I asked how much loner it would be taking for a drink, attitude remained when I received my drink finally after 50 min and was met with an even worse attitude. Mind you never was I rude and truly waited longer than I should’ve had to without a complaint. Also the drink sucked, so thanks.
